About Laura Russell, Detroit's Support Group Leader

Laura is married with one child, and works as an insurance agent, making her own hours. Previously, Laura worked as an accountant prior to going into sales, but the pain she was experiencing while sitting long hours made it difficult for her to stay in her profession. She says she had no choice but to go independent and make her own hours. She is glad she did, too. It was one of the best decisions she has made. Laura is 40 years old and has had A/S for about 16 years. She wasn't diagnosed until 2 years ago.
