About Ken Prather, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis' Support Group Leader

Ken is a volunteer Hospice and Transition Counselor, and also gives lectures and presentations in the field of Grief and Bereavement. He is the founder of the outreach program, Reaching For Joy. He also writes poetry and inspirational short stories, and is a motivational speaker. Many of his poems have been published, and he is currently working on a book, which should be published in the next year.

Ken has three children and two grandchildren and acknowledges that his children are his "inspiration and his best friends." He enjoys meditating within the boundaries of nature, and loves spending days at his local zoo, where he is a guide. In his spare time, he coaches an over 55 senior slow-pitch softball team.
