About Jacquie Gregor, Tucson's Support Group Leader

My name is Jacquie Gregor, I am a long time resident in "The Old Pueblo", Tucson, Arizona. I am married, have a cute dog named Marcus, my husband and I together have 4 children and 12 Grandchildren. I have been in Sales and Marketing my entire career with two diversions, one was to become a Chiropractic Assistant and the other to work as a Fitness Coach. My Husband and I own our business in Tucson manufacturing transmitters and receivers to track animals and equipment in the water, where I work as a Marketing Director again.

In 2003 I noticed a large growth on my Sternoclavicular joint that was purple and tender to the touch. I was taking care of my Mother while she was in home hospice at the time and didn't have the opportunity to receive the diagnostic exams necessary to ascertain the cause. Upon my Mother's death in 2005 the mass became more sore and more predominant with soreness throughout my neck and upper body. I resigned from my job as a Circuit Coach in 2007. I had gone to the emergency room for help and pain management, this is when I was referred to a Rheumatologist. After a year of tests and questions I began treatment for "Atypical" Ankylosing Spondylitis, given this diagnosis began a series of treatment regimens' to find the 'fit' for me.

The closest A.S. support group to Tucson is over 100 miles away, this is the reason I want to start one in Tucson. I think if I want to talk and have the support of a group others may want that as well.
