The recent ENBREL® (etanercept) supply shortage is over for patients with ankylosing spondylitis or related conditions who currently have a prescription for the medication, according to ENBREL's® manufacturer, Immunex Corporation/ Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.

Orders will be filled as quickly as possible, and shipped Monday through Thursday (except holidays due to refrigeration needs) via overnight delivery to patients' pharmacies.

While there are no guarantees, Immunex does not anticipate additional interruptions in product supply in the foreseeable future. They are taking steps to significantly increase supplies from their existing plant, and are nearing completion of a new production facility in Rhode Island.
