Information On The New $4 Prescription Drug Plans

Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, spurred by the favorable response to its $4 generic prescriptions, has moved quickly to lower the price of roughly 143 medications to $4 for a 30-day supply at 2,500 Wal-Mart stores in 26 states, as of late October, 2006.
These programs could have significant implications given the number of blockbuster drugs losing patent protection in 2006-2007 and the pressure to lower drug prices for seniors, the disabled and the under-insured.
