About Teresa Mussman, Clinton's Support Group Leader

My name is Teresa, I’m 50 years old. I am from Iowa originally, moved to Oklahoma in 1982. I’ve lived several places over the years but always seem to end up back here. I have two grown children, a daughter and a son. I also have three grandchildren, who are the biggest reasons that I keep going some days.

I developed symptoms at age 13 but was not diagnosed until I was 20 years old. A few years later the Iritis started. Then in 2005 the Fibromyalgia. The Crohn’s was found in 2007 along with Gerd. I am currently on the Humira pen, which so far seems to be doing the trick.

To relax I play with my new puppy little bit and watch movies. I also have joined a gym and Taekwondo I can’t do everything but I try some days I don’t feel well but I still get up and get dressed you have to. I like to read and spend time with family that’s probably the most important part of my life my grandchildren.

I’m starting this support group because I know, from personal experience, the need to have someone around who truly understands. We need reliable information, and to know where to find it. I will offer a variety of pamphlet for different thing someone may need information on. This is a Spondylitis support group but as we all know, it sometimes bring a variety of other ailments. I hope anyone that wants  or needs information or just someone to listen, feel free to join us. Hope to see you there!
