This AS Life Live! is the first interactive online talk show for people with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) by people with AS.
The program is a collaboration between the Spondylitis Association of America, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and Dan Reynolds.
The goal of the series, hosted by Dan Reynolds, AS patient and lead singer of the Grammy award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons, is to inspire and encourage people to live their best lives with AS and to raise awareness of AS. Imagine Dragons has a large USA and international fan base with extensive tours, TV appearances, awards and hits including Radioactive, Demons, Believer and Thunder.
With just the first 3 video interviews released in 2017, This AS Life Live! has reached over 500 million people on social media, and through print, broadcast, and online news coverage.
"Each person's story is unique. As we release more and more of these interviews, I hope that everyone living with AS will find something they can relate to and find value in watching and sharing. Dan has truly been wonderful throughout the series. He is friendly, thoughtful, empathetic, candid, lighthearted, just real." Rich Howard

In this short bonus video, we turn the camera around and interview the face of the This AS Life Live! series, Dan Reynolds. Dan shares his insights on how the series has affected him and what he's learned in the last two seasons.
Richard: Dan, thanks so much for everything you've done for the spondylitis community. You've been so helpful in so many ways and I can't express all the gratitude I have for you, but….
Richard: One thing I'd like to know is how the series has affected you personally.
Dan: I'm now part of this community of people who are a very specific breed. I mean, we're all diverse and we live different lifestyles and we do different things, but one thing is true with everyone that has AS and that is that you are a strong human being.
You have dealt with chronic physical pain on a daily basis for years for people, decades for people. It requires you to have a certain amount of appreciation of life, and health, in the moments that you have it.
And, there's a real beauty to this community, and so it has changed me, absolutely. Becoming part of this community that I wasn't before, I was just this guy, alone, who had AS, and now I'm part of this family.
